Higher Education has turned its attention to experiential learning and is seeking to better understand and tap into its transformative effects on today’s students. UCSD is a leader in experiential learning, community and campus partnerships, and service learning. This conference will explore the ways in which experiential learning can better prepare citizens for an increasingly complex global community. We invite submissions from faculty, staff, students, employers, and community members who are engaged in experiential learning initiatives to share the transformative elements and best practices of experiential learning. Key goals of the conference are to: develop strategies for building experiential learning initiatives in higher education; increase collaboration; discussion of service as research; explore the role of experiential learning in leadership development, career goals, and civic engagement.
Proposal Submission Deadline: November 17, 2011
