The Greenpeace Semester is an amazing opportunity for you to receive training, hands-on experience, and mentorship in environmental leadership – and the deadline to apply for the Spring Semester is approaching on October 19th!

The Greenpeace Semester spring term is a semester-long training opportunity in Washington, DC for college students who want to become leaders for the environmental movement.  Take it from Alexis Boxer, summer 2009 alum and Sierra Student Coalition organizer:

  “The Greenpeace Semester changed my life and got me where I am today … the Semester prepared me for work with non-profits and really helped me to realize that my passion for the environment and people can put to good use for the greater good and for the long term.  I have made some of the best friends of my life and came away with a family and support system unlike any other.“

During Greenpeace Semester, you will learn about pressing environmental issues, solutions, and how you can have a greater impact.  Students learn about working with the media to recruiting volunteers, starting a group on campus, and organizing successful events that help to build people power and win victories for the planet.  The Greenpeace Semester prepares students to take on leadership roles on their campus and truly be the change they wish to see in the world.

Whether you are newly interested in the environmental movement and activism or are already involved on your campus, the Greenpeace Semester is a great way to learn how you can have a greater impact and advocate for the issues you are passionate about.
