Today’s Class

Dear Students,

Please make an extra effort to come to class today. I will go over your final written assignment:

  Status Report (data collection, analytical approach)

We will also review “logic models” and other ways to organize your research inputs, outputs and outcomes.

Finally, I want to use our last two classes together this quarter focused on student projects. As an incentive (to get some brave volunteers), I will buy pizza for the entire class on our last day (Dec 1). This is what I’d like to see:

Tues: Nov 29:
Three students present their proposal: 10 minutes each, with questions and answers afterwards. Students brave enough to do this can count their in-class presentation in lieu of the “Status Report” assignment.

Class will give student presenters immediate feedback per a survey we will distribute

Thurs. Dec 1
Panel presentation and Pizza:
(*) I would like four student volunteers to self-organize a panel that addresses these questions.

I’d like a student to moderate the panel. The set up will be four students sitting up at the front of the room, one of the four will moderate the panel (i.e., pose the the questions above, or some variant of these questions—-feel free to take poetic license).
