Follow progress on Urban Core Transit Strategy study. Conduct research to provide additional information on innovative systems throughout the world.  Investigate which type of transit system may have successful application in San Diego and Mission Valley in particular. Participating students could attend SANDAG City and Move San Diego meetings, and monitor work to be done by the UCTS consultant.

USP Senior Sequence students can join with teams in Professor Mike Stepner’s 4th year Urban Design Studio at the New School of Architecture and Design (NSAD) located in downtown San Diego. USP students will will work with NSAD students to prepare an urban design master plan for a designated project area. This year, Professor Stepner’s studio group will be doing corridor studies in Chula Vista, Del Mar, and San Diego, working with city staff, community members, and others.
